SIP 124 questions

What about sound insulation?

CTE DB-HR sets it for the finished wall, not the panel: between dwellings, DnT,A ≥ 50 dBA; partitions within a home, RA ≥ 33 dBA. With SIPs it is reached with linings and extra insulation.

How does it perform in a fire?

Like any home, it has to meet CTE DB-SI: R 30 for the structure of a detached house. The core is protected inside by an EI 30 layer, usually plasterboard; the SIP 174 EPS is flame-retardant.
